From My Kitchen Or Should I Say Garden……..A Never Ending Supply Of Cucumbers!
Some say that being intuitive does not allow you to believe in God or in Jesus. I am here to tell you that that is unfounded. I believe in God and Jesus Christ with all of my heart and soul, yet I am intuitive. I love, respect, and accept anyone’s religious beliefs. The God that I know is loving and merciful, always at the ready to take us under his wing and shelter us. All we have to do is ask. There is this funny little thing called free will that He gave us, something that we always seem to forget. He created us and God makes no mistakes! Remembering that at the low points should make our faith stronger, our resolve that much more clear, and the high points that much more satisfying. Make God relevant in your life again and see what happens! Sending lots of blessings, Karen

Life is lessons! Keeping your light shining is one of the most important and hardest to learn. What the dark fears the most is light, yet it craves it. There are always those who are close around you and even strangers that you pass on the street who see your light and yet do not bask in it or shine their own, but try their very best to diminish what they don’t understand, what they don’t feel is available to them. To be a bright light is to be kind, generous, and forgiving. But make no mistake in thinking that it means weakness. Light is strength, courage, and resolve along with kind, generous, and forgiving. Do not let anyone diminish your light or take it from you. For those I tell you to shine it more brightly! In turn, do not diminish the light of others or the progress that they are making on their journey. Sending lots of love, Karen
Food is essential to living. That, along with our spiritual awareness, is an indication of our state of well being or not. I combine the two for healing on two levels, the body and soul. It is what I do, it is what I love, it is who I am. All food has energetic healing properties. It is my gift to recognize these properties and to use them for the nourishment of ones body and soul. A great job, one that I relish and care deeply for. Great food and ingredients, grown with care, respect, and love of the land, can make such a huge difference in our lives physically, mentally, and spiritually. To take the challenge of living according to these laws of nature and of God is quite a statement of one’s spiritual awareness and one’s willingness to transcend to the next level. An amazing thought to let awaken within ourselves.
From My Kitchen……Mussels Steamed In A Saffron Cream Sauce!
Finding your voice and flexing your spiritual muscle is an amazing challenge. I find my spiritual strength and voice through food. The writing about, the gathering, the planting, the preparing, the cooking, and finally the eating provide an outlet for me, an arena, so to speak, where the Higher Powers can have my full attention and speak directly to me. Finding an outlet is an essential part of being intuitive. All people are innately intuitive, whether that intuitiveness is brought to the surface or not is up to the individual, but the capacity is there. That being said, all of us need an outlet to practice flexing our spiritual muscle. The old school advice applies, practice, practice, practice, you’re bond to get better. Find your outlet and start flexing!
PS The mussels in the picture were gathered by yours truly and what a fabulous treat it was to gather, prepare and eat them for dinner.

To talk to people, to be out in the world living is the greatest service that you can provide for others. Information is exchanged and shared, great ideas are formed and life changing advice is given. Isn’t it funny how we can be at the right place, at the right time, and in the right state of mind to receive a tidbit that resonates with us and is then passed on to resonate with others. A most important life lesson kept repeating itself and kept getting louder until I finally got it. Live in the moment before it is gone. Acknowledge your feelings whether good or bad and sit with them, for all things will naturally pass and wouldn’t you have wanted to be there. A happy feeling should be enjoyed and a painful feeling should be felt so that it too can pass and be replaced with something better. Without feeling the bad, we can’t appreciate feeling the good. Without feeling the good, we can’t appreciate feeling the bad. To me, those are healing words. I am so thankful to have been watching a segment of Marie TV in God’s perfect timing. I am always learning something spectacular from her!
I know when I am about to have a very supercharged intuitive day. My dreams are vivid, my emotions are heightened, seemingly out of nowhere, fear and doubt spring up. The signs are there, they are built in for our protection and preparedness. What to do is to stay focused on the positive, the work that you do and all the wonderful things that make up your life. I also throw up a prayer or two for help, guidance, clarity, and wisdom. An answer is always received. Being intuitive is a challenge, but look at it this way, you are not given anything that you are not equipped to handle and the more challenges, the more advanced that you are becoming. My words of wisdom are simple, focus, go with the flow, and let the information take you where you need to go. Everything that we receive is not always meant for us. It is part of our journey to discern what information that we need to do our work and what information that we need to release to the universe so that others may get what they need to do their work properly. A fun saying for the day…keep calm and carry on! If that doesn’t work, head into the kitchen to cook or bake! Karen
Scones make a beautiful morning even more beautiful! There is nothing like waking up all comfy in your bed with the sun shining brightly and the birds singing their song and realizing that you had put a batch of your scones in the freezer, all ready to bake, for a morning such as this. How grateful I was for that discovery. But seriously, I want you all to realize that each day is an opportunity to sing. We only have today, no guarantee of a tomorrow so why not sing! Why not find something to be joyful for in the moment. Life is about the little things, the little victories, the little moments that can get you through the day! When you sing, the heavens rejoice and join in! Imagine what it must sound like when all of the angels are singing with you! Inspirational is the word I come up with. If you dare to sing, even one little song, notice how the energy shifts, notice what happens to the world around you, notice how it makes you feel. Now, that alone is a reason to sing on a daily basis! Bake some scones and a sing, it will change your day!

How do I define myself today? I am a spiritual being, first and foremost. I am an intuitive specialist, who happens to believe wholeheartedly in God and works within the light of her faith. A healer, who loves herbs and spices. I am someone who loves to cook and bake and who just so happens to own an online kitchen store and a recipe site as well. I am the mother of three sons, who are grown and living their own lives, a mother-in-law to a beautiful girl who I adore, a friend to a small group that I love, and an employee at a wonderful dress shop with a fabulous boss. That is how I define myself today. It is not how it has always been. I have often thought what if I had taken stock earlier, would things have been different, could I have avoided the suffering through, but I’ve come to realize through great humor and wisdom, that no, things happen when you’re ready and when God decides He can’t take your suffering anymore and He steps in with drastic measures. You know that you are blessed when God blows your life apart to reposition it. He is not angry, oh no, He is filled with love for you. He wants you to have the life that He had always intended for you. That is why theintuitivecook.com exists, it is why I write, it is to help you through your journey. The first step is to write on paper how you honestly define yourself today and ask yourself are you happy with your definition. Believe me, I intend to keep tweaking, but for today, I am ok with it. Tomorrow, I might need to do some work. If there is one thing that I have learned it is to give yourself 24 hours to let things settle and resonate with you before you start moving things around.
