From My Kitchen….A quick and easy tuna and black bean salad
It all starts with our physical body. Nourishing the body is the first and most important part of any spiritual journey. When we become aware of our body’s needs, we can then become aware of the needs of our mind, our intellect, and finally our spirit. Think of it this way, what goes in is going to come out. What we put out to the world is going to come back to us, so nourishing our body gets things moving in the right direction. I am constantly eating, so for me, it is doubly important that I take care of what is going in and that I don’t overindulge. Making sure that I know where my food is from, how it is packaged, and what is contained within are questions that I ask on a daily basis. For those who are not eating constantly, the need to pack more nourishment in every bite is essential. The body is our first line of defense, we need to take care of it, nurture it and listen to it. It holds the power to heal.

From My Kitchen….An Ambrosia Cake, conjuring up memories of carefree childhood summers!
Prodigal, spending recklessly and lavishly, yet, to me, the definition is totally different. I see it as abundance, a bounty. There is no other definition for me. An example of a life choice. There are always two in every situation and circumstance. It is up to you to make the choice. Free will, the message of the Angels and Angel Number 22, the Master Builder. The builder of choice, new beginnings, strong foundations, the picking of our higher selves over our lower selves, faith and trust. We define ourselves by our choices in all that we do, say and feel. To me, prodigal will always mean abundance and bounty. The question for me is always, what will I do with that abundance and bounty? The answer is always, share. I urge you to change course, go in a totally different direction, make this a prodigal summer!

From My Kitchen….A Kale Salad With Roasted Sweet Potatoes And A Chili Lime Dressing!
When a problem, a question, or a simple bad day arises, I head into the kitchen. Even when I think that it is the last place that I want to be, it is always the only place for me to be. It is where I find comfort, it is where I find the answers, it is like going home. We all have that special, comforting place that we run to when we’re sad and the only place we want to be when we’re at our most joyous! My beautiful kitchen, the act of creation paired with wonderful ingredients allows me to breathe deep, cook, eat and reconnect to who I am. I always know that I am in the right place, at the right time when I continually see the number 44. I’ll see it hourly on the clock, in all different combinations, or when I am out walking the dogs, or when car after car drives by with 44 or 444 on their license plate. The number 4 is a calming, comforting number. It lets you know that you are surrounded with angels who love, support, and protect you at all times! They ask that you go to your place of comfort, where you feel safest and most at home. It is there that you will find peace and the answers that you seek. Know that you are not alone. I am in my kitchen cooking for you!
